15. Remove three bolts and bracket from power steering pump.
Installation
1. Install bracket on power steering pump with three bolts.
Tighten bolts to 12 ft. lbs. (16 Nm).
2. Position pulley on splined shaft and install nut.
Tighten nut to 45 ft. lbs. (61 Nm).
3. Position power steering pump (with bracket) on engine and install attaching bolts finger tight.
4. Position belt over pulley of power steering pump and engine crankshaft pulley.
5. Rotate power steering pump to tighten belt, then tighten the two attaching bolts.
Tighten bolts to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
6. Install air conditioner tensioner pulley and bracket.
7. Install air conditioner belt and adjust to proper tension.
8. Connect pressure hose to power steering pump with nut.
Tighten nut to 13 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).
9. Connect suction hose No. 1 to power steering pump.
10. Connect pressure hose to damping pipe.
Tighten to 29 ft. lbs. (39 Nm).
11. Connect suction hose No. 1 to pipe No. 1.
Notice: Do not operate engine before adding power steering fluid as required to fill the system. Operation of the power steering pump with
inadequate fluid will result in damage to the pump.
12. Install under cover with four bolts.
Tighten to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
