3. Use brake fluid to clean inner parts.

Inspection 

After cleaning, inspect and replace the following parts if necessary:
1. Worn or damaged clutch master cylinder bore and piston.
2. Weak return spring.
3. Worn or damaged primary or secondary cups.

Assembly 

1. Coat the piston and cups with clean brake fluid.
2. Insert return spring, primary cup, piston and secondary cup assembly, and piston stop washer into cylinder bore.
3. Install stop wire using needle-nose pliers.
4. Snap in bushing and reservoir tank hose.

5. Fill cylinder with new brake fluid and operate the piston until fluid comes out of outlet.

Installation 

1. Using new gasket, place assembled master cylinder on engine compartment bulkhead.
2. Install nut on cylinder upper mounting stud from passenger compartment.
