Sportage EX 2WD L4-2.0L (1997)
1. Install the exhaust manifold gasket.
2. Install the exhaust manifold.
3. Install the nine exhaust manifold bolts and tighten to 31 ft. lbs. (42 Nm).
4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
5. Install a new flange gasket and attach the converter inlet pipe.
6. Install the three nuts and tighten to 24 ft. lbs. (33 Nm).
7. Lower the vehicle
8. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
9. Install the six heat shield bolts and tighten to 18 ft. lbs. (24 Nm).
10. Install the air intake hose and tighten the two clamps.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
