Make sure that the sensor is suitable for the engine type;

Check that the sensor is not distorted, broken or bent which would alter its original shape;

Using a multimeter, check that the sensor resistance value for the hot wire at the connector pins is between 5.50 and 6.10 ohm at ambient temperature.

Check the insulation of the pins towards the sensor metallic exterior with the multimeter set on a scale of 20?
