EXHAUST MANIFOLD - R.R. and Replace seal

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Disconnect the negative battery lead.

1. Undo the fixing nuts (1a) and remove the bonnet lid lock (1b) from the housing in the crossmember.

2. Undo the lower bolt (2a) and remove the lock reinforcement bracket (2b).

1. Undo the fixing nuts.

2. Remove the front crossmember.

1. Disconnect the band (1a), undo the bolt (1b) and extract the rigid engine coolant pipe (1c).

Collect the coolant that comes out in a suitable container.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) joining it to the cylinder head and the nuts (1b) joining it to the torque converter.

2. Remove the exhaust manifold complete with gaskets.

Refitting

- Placed the exhaust manifold, complete with new gaskets, in its housing and connect it to the torque converter tightening the nuts to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head to the recommended torque.

- Fit the rigid engine coolant pipe and secure it to the flexible hose using the bolt and the band.

- Fit the upper front crossmember.

- Fit the bonnet lid lock, complete with reinforcement bracket, on the crossmember.

- Connect the negative battery lead.

- Raise the vehicle on the lift.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
