ADDITIONAL HEATER REMOTE CONTROL

Initialization procedure - Service Manual update

In advance of the Service Manual update we wish to notify you that the initialization procedure described below must be carried out for each new remote control:

  • With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the negative battery lead (this operation is required to prepare the system memory to receive the new code);
  • Connect the negative battery lead and, within 5 seconds, press the OFF button on the remote control (A - Fig. 1) pointing it at the vehicle; the LED (B) coming on indicates that the signal has been sent to the receiver;
  • Check the result of the procedure by activating the heater using the ON button.

This procedure is necessary each time the remote control which comes with the vehicle (already initialized in production) is replaced with a new one (not initialized) from the Parts Dept. or when additional new remote controls are ordered.
