The belt must be tight with not more than 0.19 to 0.25 in (4 to 6 mm) total deflection when checked by hand mid-way between the pulleys on the longest
run.

Where a belt has stretched beyond the limits a noisy whine or knock will often be evident during operation.

If Necessary Adjust As Follows:
Loosen the idler pulley securing bolt (1) and adjust the pulley (2) position until the correct tension is obtained. Tighten the securing bolt and re-check the
deflection.
