A.
Exterior Front Door Handle
1.
Release the retaining clip from the link rod on the exterior handle assembly figure 1).
2.
Turn the link rod clockwise to take up any operating slack between the exterior handle and the release latch (figure 1).
3.
Reinstall the link rod on the exterior handle assembly
4.
Operate the exterior handle very slowly and check that the latch is moving simultaneously.
5.
If the handle and latch do not move simultaneously, repeat steps 2through 5.
6.
After adjustment, check that the exterior handle opens the door slightly before the handle reaches the end of its travel.
B.
Interior Front Door Handle
1.
Pull on the interior handle to make access to the adjusting nut easier. Adjust the nut using a 7 mm wrench (figure 2).
2.
After adjustment, check that the interior handle opens the door slightly before the handle reaches the end of its travel.
