SUBJECT
Front Carpet Seat Flap Cuts-Too Long
DETAIL
Vehicles built from the listed VIN numbers had the front seat carpet flap slits cut too long which can appear untidy. To overcome this concern during
manufacture vehicles exhibiting this condition were fitted with a seat plinth finisher located at the front of the seat. A number of vehicles may have been
despatched from Land Rover which have not had the benefit of this action.
NOTE
The finisher must be removed and fixing screws replaced in the redundant holes when installing LRNA Accessory Carpet LANA 8444
ACTION REQUIRED
Should a customer complain of unsightly carpet, fit the seat plinth finisher.

PROCEDURE
1.
Position the finisher centrally to the seat plinth.
2.
Drill a 3.2/3.5 mm hole through the NVH and floor using the center hole in the finisher as a guide. Care must be taken when breaking through the
floor panel.
3.
Fit the center fixing with a washer under the head of the screw.
4.
Drill the outer two holes. Care must be taken when breaking through the floor panel.
5.
Fit the two outer fixings.
6.
Spray the underside of the floor with wax in the vicinity of the screw breakthroughs.
