Excessive Drive Line vibration 30 to 40 mph (48 to 64 Kph)

DETAIL

A number of reports have been received which detail drive line vibration between 30 to 40 mph (48 to 64 kph) within the VIN's identified above. The
vibration is transmitted into the vehicle cabin from the front axle assembly under moderate to light load conditions.

The rubber composition in the right hand engine mounting has been optimized to eliminate vibration. 

The harmonic damper now utilizes the same rubber mounting as the right hand engine mounting. 

This change was introduced onto production at Discovery LJ 099423 and Range Rover LH 652714.

ACTION REQUIRED

On customer complaint follow the procedure listed below. If this condition is not corrected following the actions identified below please submit a
Product Report.

PARTS INFORMATION

Engine mounting (right hand side-starter motor side) ANR 2803 replace with ANR 2804.

Harmonic damper rubber mounting ANR 2803 replace with ANR 2804.

Lock nuts as required NZ112041

PROCEDURE

Reference should be made to the appropriate section of the workshop manual where required.
