Drive Belt: Description and Operation
Serpentine Belt
Drive Belt Routing (With A/C)
Drive Belt Routing (Without A/C)
To reduce engine length, all components from the front of the V8 cylinder block forward have been completely re-designed. The engine now uses
a serpentine multi-ribbed belt to drive all ancillaries, with belt tension controlled by an automatic tensioner.
Extra benefits are substantial improvements in refinement, durability and reduced service requirements. The drive belt requires only visual checks
for condition every 30,000 miles and has a service life of 105,000 miles.
