Power Steering Box Replacement

DETAIL

A number of Product Reports have been received which detail either steering box fault reporting or steering box replacement. To enable correlation
between the Product Report and the displaced unit the steering

box serial number MUST be recorded on the Product Report.

The serial number is stamped on a metal tag which is riveted to the steering box casting below the input shaft and takes the form of an alpha numeric
code (see illustration). The following example decodes the information on the tag and is required to be reproduced on the Product Report: 3 A 0001.

ACTION REQUIRED

Upon steering box replacement or fault reporting record the steering box number on the Product Report and submit the report to Land Rover North
America.
