1.

Remove the crankcase ventilation hose(s) from the leaking vent tube(s).

2.

Ensure that the tube(s) is not loose in the valve cover.

3.

If the tube(s) is loose in the cover, repair locally or replace the valve cover assembly.

Refer to TIB 12/04/96/US for valve cover removal and gasket installation.

4.

Thoroughly clean the base of the crankcase vent tube(s) where they enter the valve cover. The area must be free of all oil and dirt.

5.

Apply a small bead of Elastomeric Sealant (LRNA25223) completely around the base of the vent tube(s). Make sure a complete circular bead is
formed.

6.

Replace the crankcase hose immediately and do not disturb the joint until the sealant has cured.

7.

Clean off any excess sealant from the valve cover.
