Windscreen Finisher A Post - Poor Fit

DETAIL
The bonded windscreen "A" post finishers can if not fitted correctly, become partially detached from the "A" post. The finishers are adhered to the "A"
post by an adhesive strip. To ensure full adhesion the "A" post must be free from grease/dirt.
When a poor fitting finisher is noted follow the procedure.
ACTION REQUIRED
If a poor fit is noted during Pre-Delivery Inspection or upon a customer complaint follow the procedure listed.

PROCEDURE
Note
Reuse of original finishers is required unless they are not reuseable.
1.
Remove the original adhesive strip from behind the finisher.
2.
Clean behind the finisher using Betawipe (yellow top) and wipe off any surplus fluid.
3.
Apply Betaprime (red top) to the underside of the finisher allow to dry to "touch" dry.
4.
Apply Betaseal adhesive using a skeleton gun applicator to both the "A" post and finisher.
5.
Apply pressure to the surface of the moulding to eliminate gaps and any stand-off from the "A"post.
6.
Clean the surplus adhesive from the "A" post.
7.
Apply adhesive tape across the finisher while the adhesive is curing and leave for approximately 40 minutes.
8.
It may be necessary to dress the corner of the finisher with a sharp blade to relieve any contact with the front corner of the drip rail.
