Headlamp flash

Fuse 18 supplies power from the passenger compartment fuse box (C584-3) to the RH headlamp (C011-1) on a blue/green wire. A black wire, from the RH headlamp (C011-3) to the earth header joint (C018-1), completes the circuit and the main beam filament in the RH headlamp bulb illuminates. Fuse 18 also supplies power from the passenger compartment fuse box (C589-14) to the main beam warning lamp in the instrument pack (C230-3) on a blue/green wire. A black wire, from the instrument pack (C233-1) to the earth header joint (C018-3) via the passenger compartment fuse box, completes the circuit and the warning lamp bulb illuminates. Fuse 20 supplies power from the passenger compartment fuse box (C587-4) to the LH headlamp (C009-1) on a blue/slate wire. A black wire, from the LH headlamp (C009-3) to the earth header joint (C017-1), completes the circuit and the main beam filament in the LH headlamp bulb illuminates.

Headlamp flash

NOTE: Headlamp flash illuminates the main beam filaments in the headlamp bulbs, so will have no effect if headlamps, main beam is already selected.

When the lighting switch is set to flash, battery power, on a brown wire from the passenger compartment fuse box (C586-7) to the lighting switch (C041-6), is fed from the lighting switch (C041-5) to the main beam relay in the passenger compartment fuse box (C587-7) on a blue/white wire. A black wire, from the passenger compartment fuse box (C587-2) to the earth header joint (C018-3), earths the main beam relay, which energizes and connects battery voltage to fuses 18 and 20 in the passenger compartment fuse box. The main beam filament’s of the headlamp bulbs and the main beam warning lamp bulb then illuminate as detailed above in Headlamp main beam.
