12-2-10 REPAIRS
9. Remove LRT-12-227 from timing tool access
hole.
10. Rotate engine crankshaft pulley anti-clockwise
to align the 45
°
before TDC timing mark.
NOTE: Raise timing chain and hold under
tension while turning crankshaft pulley.
11. Remove LRT-12-223/5, LRT-12-223/6, LRT-
12-223/2 and LRT-12-223/1 from RH cylinder
head camshafts.
12. Working in the sequence shown, progressively
loosen 10 cylinder head bolts.
13. Discard 10 cylinder head bolts and remove 10
cylinder head bolt washers.
14. With assistance, remove cylinder head
assembly.
15. Discard cylinder head gasket.
16. Discard 'O' ring from cylinder block.
