Remove the originally installed "short" vent tube from starter motor and discard.

Insert the elbow of the new long vent tube (LR005926) into the vacated hole in the starter motor, ensuring that the clip latches positively.

Route the long vent tube to follow the starter motor B+ cable forwards across the oil pan and then up towards the battery. (Figure 1)

Attach the tube to the electrical harness with tape taking care to avoid kinks or distortions to the tubing.

7.

Loop approximately the last 100 mm (4 inches) of the tube back on itself without kinking it. (Figure 2)

8.

Tape to loop in position so that the end of the tube is pointing down. (Figure 2)

9.

Refer to GTR Section 501-02 and install the undershield.
