Rear Axle Oil Temperature Sensor (51.15.06)
Removal
Installation
1 .
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the
vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2 .
Drain the differential lubricant. For additional information, refer to
Differential Draining and Filling
(51.25.02)
(Section 205-02)
3 .
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Release the wiring harness retaining clip.
4 .
Remove the oil temperature sensor.
Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
1 .
Clean the component mating faces.
2 .
Install the oil temperature sensor.
Tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb.ft).
3 .
Connect the electrical connector.
Secure the wiring harness clip.
