Crankshaft rear oil seal remover/installer

1 .
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to
Specifications
(Section 414-
00 )
2 .
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the
vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3 .
Remove the torque converter flexplate. For additional information, refer to
Flexplate (12.53.13)
(Section 303-01B )
4 .
Install the special tools.
Install the 2 bolts.
Tighten the 2 nuts to retain the special tool.
5 .
Using the special tool, pierce the seal to create holes for the 6 self-tapping screws.
