Fuel Injector (19.60.10)  

Removal  

 

 

 

Installation

1 . 

  

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to 

Specifications

 (Section 414-

00) 

2 . 

 

 

 

   WARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on 

or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. 
Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury. 

   WARNING: Do not carry or operate cellular phones when working on or near any fuel related 

components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these 
instructions may result in personal injury. 

   CAUTION: Before the disconnection or removal of any components, ensure the area around 

joint faces and connections are clean. Plug any open connections to prevent contamination. 

Remove the fuel rail. For additional information, refer to 

Fuel Rail (19.60.04)

 (Section 303-04) 

3 . 

  Remove the fuel injector. 

  

Release the injector. 

  

Disconnect the electrical connector. 

  

Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

1 . 

  Clean the component mating faces.

2 . 

  To install, reverse the removal procedure. 

  

Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
