1 .
Install the starter motor.
Tighten the battery positive terminal integral connector retaining nut to 11 Nm (8 lb.ft).
Tighten the solenoid terminal integral connector nut to 7 Nm (5 lb.ft).
Reposition the rubber insulator.
2 .
Reposition the starter motor.
Install the two retaining bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm (35 lb.ft).
3 .
Install the wiring harness retaining bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
4 .
CAUTION: The starter motor retaining bracket must be installed. Failure to follow this
instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
Install the starter motor retaining bracket.
Install the 4 bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
5 .
Reposition the fuel cooler and the fuel filter housing.
Install the two bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
6 .
Attach the fuel cooler.
Install the bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
7 .
Install the engine undershield. For additional information, refer to

8 .
Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to
Specifications
(Section 414-00)
