WARNING: It is imperative that before any work is undertaken on the SRS system, the appropriate
information is read thoroughly.
WARNING: Always disconnect both battery cables before beginning work on the SRS system.
Disconnect the ground cable first. Never reverse connect the battery.
If the SRS component is to be replaced, the bar code of the new unit must be recorded.

Make the SRS system safe. For additional information, refer to
Standard Workshop Practices
(Section 100-00)
2 .
Remove the headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to
Headlamp Assembly (86.40.49)
(Section 417-01)
3 .
Remove the front impact sensor.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Remove the 2 Torx bolts.

Install the front impact sensor.
Tighten the Torx bolts to 8 Nm (6 lb.ft).
Connect the electrical connector.

Install the headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to
