Manual Seat Adjustment Inoperative
MODEL AFFECTED VEHICLES
All derivatives fitted with manual seats from New Range Rover LP 300775 to LP 303185
DETAIL
During final vehicle inspection at Land Rover it was noted that vehicles fitted with manual front seats were difficult to adjust on the seat runners. Further investigations have shown that the plastic retainers which secure the seat adjustment lever to the seat slide were adrift. Under normal circumstances the retainers should fit firmly against the seat slide but it has been found that due to the operating pressure on the adjustment lever, to release the seat locking mechanism, the retainers could be displaced from their locations. Further actions are underway to improve the seat slide design to firmly retain the adjustment lever but in the interim a fix has been developed which will overcome this concern on vehicles in Service.
ACTION REQUIRED
Upon customer complaint of seat adjustment inoperative, follow the procedure below to fit new adjustment lever retainers. Note: If only one seat fails this solution should be applied to both front seats whilst the vehicle is in your workshop.

11) Repeat all operations for the outboard seat slide. 12) Repeat all operations for the other seat.
