PROBLEM:

BRAKE NOISE - FRONT OR REAR BRAKE PADS The customer complains of a squeal / graunch / groan noise on brake application.

CAUSE:

Resonance induced by disc / pad material.

ACTION:

Upon customer complaint of brake noise, establish the origin of the noise and replace the front or rear brake pads as appropriate, with the new parts listed in PARTS INFORMATION. It is NOT necessary to change these pads in vehicle sets. Refer to Workshop Manual repair numbers 70.40.02 , front pads renew and 70.40.03 , rear pads renew for repair procedure.
