Change To Message Functionality

MODEL

New Range Rover

DETAIL Information only There has been a change to the message functionality on vehicles from vehicles fitted with BeCM part No AMR6531/2, the aim of the change is to increase customer satisfaction by the removal of certain messages and changing the condition under which others operate, the changes are as follows This bulletin has been put together to reduce complexity, various messages on the instrument pack message centre have been either deleted or operate under different conditions, (the changes are as follows). 1) Traction message has been deleted and will never appear. 2) Electrical Fault message will only appear if there is a communication fault between the BeCM and the Instrument pack. The message previously appeared if there was an internal failure within the BeCM. 3) Traction, Overheat, Traction Failure, EAS Manual, EAS Fault, Slow 35mph max, Slow 20mph max,Slow 55 kph , Slow 30kph, ABS Fault, Sport and Manual messages are inhibited from being displayed during cranking and for one second after cranking has ceased. This will avoid spurious messages being displayed due to low battery voltage during cranking. 4) Rear Windows On and Rear Windows Off messages are not displayed on every change of the switch. If the windows have been switched on or off with the ignition off, when it is switched on the message centre will display the status of the rear windows, this will be accompanied by a bleep.
