DETAIL

We have received reports concerning difficulty when using TestBook to diagnose GEMS engine management system faults. When using CD Disc DRF 005, TestBook will display ‘General Protection Fault’ error and refers to ‘DAVP0038’ .When the continue button is pressed from the GEMS diagnostics welcome screen, pressing the ‘OK’ button will return TestBook to the “TestBook welcome screen” This problem effects the following languages, French, German and Italian.

ACTION REQUIRED

If GEMS diagnostics are required to be carried out. Replace Disc and use CD Disc DRF 003

Use CD Disc DRF 003

PROCEDURE

1. Connect TestBook up the vehicle. 2. From TestBook Welcome screen, remove CD Disc DRF 0005. 3. Insert CD Disc DRF 003. 4. Select model Derivative. 5. Select Diagnostic system. 6. Select GEMS. 7. Select area of concern. 8. Rectify faults. 9. Clear codes. 10. Exit.
