PROBLEM:
HEADLAMPS MISTING INTERNALLY Owner reports of mist or condensation on inner headlamp lens.
CAUSE:
The misting is generally caused by natural condensation and can be expected under certain atmospheric conditions.
NOTE:
If vehicle has been pressure washed, water may have been forced into headlamp vents.
ACTION:
All headlamps are of a ‘non-sealed’ design, hence any condensation build up should evaporate naturally during dry conditions, following a minimum of 1 hour dipped / main beam operation. If after above test, considerable water droplets still remain, particularly in one headlamp only, the lamp may need to be replaced. Assure owner that occasional misting is a normal condition and that no action should be necessary.
