Intermittent Operation Of Security System

MODEL

Range Rover

DETAIL

A new security receiver has been designed to overcome some of the interference concerns causing the vehicle system not to lock/unlock from the remote transmitter. If the vehicle fails to lock/unlock in particular locations, and when the vehicle is moved to a different location the remote transmitter operates correctly (without the need to re-synchronise the transmitter) then the security receiver should be replaced with the improved type.

Should it be established that transmitter synchronisation has been lost, refer to TIB 86/03/97EN Issue 2.

Note: Please replace the original bulletin with this Issue 2. An introduction VIN has been added and the Parts Information expanded. With the new parts there has been some commonisation between markets.

ACTION REQUIRED

Upon customer complaint of a vehicle not locking/unlocking when parked in various locations, the receiver should be replaced.
