Information on the Use of Biological Fuels

DETAIL

The use of Biological fuels ie; Rape oil, Rapemethylester, Bio-Diesel, Plantmethylester, etc, are becoming more widely available. It must be noted, that tests have proven the use of these types of fuels or the admixture of ie; Rapemethylester, leads to premature wear of engine fuel system components, increased carbon deposits on the injection nozzles, reduced cold start ability, and increased fuel consumption.

Note: Please remove issue 1 of this bulletin and replace with issue 2- the information in the Action Required section has changed.

ACTION REQUIRED

For Information only: The use of Biological fuels violates Land Rover warranty terms, therefore no claims will be accepted regarding the consequences of the use of such fuels, engine fuel system components, will be checked for traces of biological fuels, as part of warranty returns procedure.
