DETAIL

It has been noted on a recent visit to the Gulf Market that a small number of vehicles have had the dustshield removed from the air conditioning compressor, and not re-placed. The compressor dustshield is necessary on Gulf specification vehicles to prevent dust/dirt ingress into the compressor mechanism.

ACTION REQUIRED

Information only: Should any service/repair work be necessary or the Air Conditioning compressor is removed, it is imperative that the air conditioning compressor dustshield is reassemble to prevent dust/dirt ingress into the clutch mechanism.

PROCEDURE

Refer to the workshop manual section 82 Air conditioning

Torque fixing bolts to 3.5 Nm +/- 0.5
