Front and Rear Axle-Pinion Oil Seal Leak

MODEL

New Range Rover-all derivatives

DETAIL

New Range Rover enquiries through the nerve centre have identified a small number of vehicles that have an oil leak from the differential pinion oil seal. Investigations by Land Rover transmission engineers have found that although a seal when replaced may initially overcome oil leaks from this area, the root cause may be due to an incorrectly machined differential drive flange, If the drive flange has been machined away from tolerance, it can result in flange peripheral run out and flange face run out.
