Rear Seat Latch Rattle

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

Range Rover (LP)

All

SITUATION:

REAR SEAT BACK LATCH RATTLE

A customer may complain of a rattle from an unoccupied rear seat. A possible source of this rattle is the 60/40 seat back latch. The rubber buffers within
the latch assembly can compress and harden in use. A rubber buffer that has hardened will cause a rattle in the latch.

RESOLUTION:

INSTALL NEW RUBBER BUFFERS IN THE LATCH ASSEMBLY

When it is confirmed that the rear seat latch is the source of the rattle, replace the rubber buffers in the latch assembly.
