Cruise control cassette centralizing:

1)

Remove the cruise control cassette from the steering column. (Refer to the Workshop Manual, section 57). Hold the cassette with the steering
wheel location driving pegs upwards.

2)

Hold the lower half of the cassette and rotate the upper half in an counter clockwise direction as far as the tape inside the cassette will allow.

NOTE: 

To disengage the ratchet it is necessary to force the two halves of the cassette together.

CARE POINT: 
Do not apply excessive force when the tape limit is reached. as this may result in tape breakage.

3)

Rotate the upper half of the cassette in a clockwise direction (approximately 1/4 of a turn) until the holes in the cassette upper and lower halves are
aligned.

NOTE: 

The cassette design changed at VIN LH 452004 with the adittion of an extra alignment hole in the rear of the cassette.
