If a lamp assembly is loose, remove and inspect the lamp assembly for damage as follows: (Figure 1)

Release the retaining clip on the left side of the assembly.

Remove the lamp assembly from the trim panel.

^

Disconnect the electrical connector.

^

Inspect retaining clamp for damage.

4.

If the removed lamp is damaged, install a new license plate lamp as follows:

Connect the electrical connector ensuring that the connector engages with a "click".

^

Verify secure engagement by gently pulling on the connector body.

^

Install the lamp assembly.

5.

If the lamp assembly does not engage with a "click", perform the following:

Remove the lamp.
