Wiper Switch: Service and Repair
Installation

WIPER AND WASHER: WIPER SWITCH: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Attach the claw and install the wiper switch.
(b) Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING SENSOR See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service

and Repair/Installation

3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

4. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING SENSOR See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service

and Repair/Installation

5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

6. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
7. INSTALL STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation
8. INSTALL NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
9. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER

10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
11. INSPECT STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation
12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

13. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic
