AXLE: REAR AXLE HUB BOLT: REPLACEMENT

REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/Axle Shaft

Assembly/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Drive Shaft Assembly/Removal

3. REMOVE REAR DISC See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Rear Brake/Disassembly
4. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

(a) Using SST, and remove the rear axle hub bolt.

SST: 09628-10011

NOTE:
Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

5. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

(a) Install a washer and nut to a new bolt as shown in the illustration.
(b) Using a screw driver or an equivalent to hold the hub & bearing assembly, install the rear axle hub bolt by tightening the nut.

NOTE:
Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

6. INSTALL REAR DISC See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Rear Brake/Reassembly
7. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking Brake System/Adjustments
8. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/Axle Shaft

9. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
