COMPONENTS (Part 5)

REMOVAL

Use the same procedure for the No. 2 and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

The procedures listed below are for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

CAUTION: When the brake caliper is removed from the brake disc, do not start the hybrid system. If the hybrid system is started, the brake
fluid pressure may increase.

1. TURN POWER SWITCH OFF

(a)

Turn the power switch OFF, and check that the "READY" indicator turns off.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.

3. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
6. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
9. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR BRACE CENTER

10. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR
11. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
12. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR
13. REMOVE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY
