Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear Speed Sensor
REMOVAL
HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
CAUTION: When the brake caliper is removed from the brake disc, do not start the hybrid system. If the hybrid system is started, the brake
fluid pressure may increase.
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR LH
a. Disconnect the sensor connector.
b. Remove the bolt and sensor.
NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR LH
a. Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 8.5 N.m (87 kgf.cm, 75 in.lbf)
NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
b. Connect the sensor connector.
2. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)
