c. Using the service plug grip, release the interlock button.

CAUTION:  Wear insulated gloves.

d. Remove the 3 nuts and battery cover.

CAUTION:  Wear insulated gloves.

e. Remove the 2 nuts and clamp, and disconnect the frame wire (high voltage cable).

CAUTION:  Wear insulated gloves.

NOTE:  Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

f.

Remove the battery shield contact.

CAUTION:  Wear insulated gloves.

18. REMOVE BATTERY

a. Disconnect the thermometer sensor connector and battery ventilation hose from the battery.
b. Disconnect the fuse holder from the battery.
