a. Using a hexagon wrench (6 mm), loosen the bleeder plug indicated in illustration A and connect the hose.

NOTE:
-

Insert the other end of the hose into the filler tank.

Be sure to hold the bleeder when loosening the bleeder plug.

b. Remove the plug indicated in illustration B and connect the hose.

NOTE:  Insert the other end of the hose into the filler tank.

c. Add coolant from the filler tank.

d. Add coolant until the coolant level in the connected hose and at the opening of the filler tank become equal. Using a hexagon wrench (6 mm),

tighten the bleeder plug indicated in illustration A.

Torque: 1.5 N.m (15 kgf.cm, 13 in.lbf)

NOTE:  If the bleeder plug is tightened to more than the specified torque, the end of the connected hose may be deformed.

e. Disconnect the hose indicated in illustration B and install the plug.
f.

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

g. Follow the intelligent tester screen to perform the active test of the water pump.

HINT:  The water pump can also be operated using inspection mode.

h. While adding coolant so that the coolant level is kept around the opening of the filler tank, operate the water pump for approximately 3

minutes and then stop it for one minute.
