1. INSPECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
(a)
Extend and compress the rear shock absorber.
(1) When extending and compressing the rear shock absorber at a constant speed, it can be moved without any abnormal resistance or noise
and load is constant through the entire stroke. It also extends at a constant speed after being compressed.
If there is any abnormality, replace the rear shock absorber with a new one.
NOTICE:
When disposing of the rear shock absorber, see DISPOSAL.
(b) Check that there is a difference in the damping force when the rod is positioned as shown (for AVS).
REASSEMBLY
1. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
(a)
Using SST, compress the rear coil spring.
SST 09727-30021 (09727-00010, 09727-00021, 09727-00031)
NOTICE:
Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage SST.
HINT:
The rear coil spring can also be compressed using a hydraulic spring compressor.
