1UR-FSE COOLING: COOLANT: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

(a) Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.

CAUTION:

Do not loosen the radiator drain cock plug while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and
cause serious burns.

HINT:

Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.

(b) Remove the radiator reservoir cap, and using a 6 mm hexagon wrench, remove the vent plug.
(c) Drain coolant.
(d) Loosen the 2 cylinder block drain cock plugs.

4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

NOTICE:

Before adding coolant, turn the A/C switch OFF.

Total capacity:
10.8 liters (11.4 US qts, 9.5 Imp. qts)

(a) Tighten the radiator drain cock plug by hand.
