Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT 

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.2 
4. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.1
5. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER ASSEMBLY

6. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR

a) Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
b) Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.

7. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR

a) Install the yaw rate sensor with 2 bolts.

Torque:  13.3 Nm (136 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.) 

NOTICE:  Do not install the sensor back to front.

b) Connect the yaw rate sensor connector.

8. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL UPPER ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.1

10. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.2
11. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
12. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION

Refer to Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems; Testing and Inspection.

13. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL
