INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the steering pad switch    See: Steering Mounted Controls Transmitter/Service and Repair/Removal.

(b) Disconnect the z9 connector from the spiral cable.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(d) Reconnect the connector.

(e) Reinstall the steering pad switch    See: Steering Mounted Controls Transmitter/Service and Repair/Installation.

NG --  REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY  See: Steering Mounted Controls Transmitter/Service and Repair/Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK AND REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
