Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Service and Repair
Installation

THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SECURITY COURTESY SWITCH

(a) Install the security courtesy switch with the 2 screws.

(b) Engage 2 new clamps.

(c) Install the 2 springs.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly

(b) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and connector.

(c) Install the hood lock assembly with the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(d) Install a new hood lock bolt cap.

(e) Engage the 2 clamps and wire harness.

(f) Connect each connector.

3. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)   See: Accessories and Optional

Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Distance Sensor/Service and Repair/Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the front bumper assembly    See: Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation.

6. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

   See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Distance Sensor/Adjustments
