(4) Apply the parking brake.

(5) Release the lock lever and disconnect the connector from the brake booster with master cylinder assembly.

(6) Depress the brake pedal 40 times or more to return all the fluid in the accumulator back to the reservoir.

NOTICE:
A drop in accumulator pressure may cause a buzzer to sound. This is not a malfunction, therefore continue with the operation.

(7) Check that the brake pedal can not be further depressed.

(8) Release the parking brake.

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL   See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

7. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE RH

(a) Disengage the clamp and separate the wire harness.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the water guard plate RH.

8. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL

(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 heater air duct splash shield seal.

9. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and cowl body mounting reinforcement RH.
