Braking Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Removal

BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or
any door courtesy switch is turned on. Therefore, when servicing the brake system components, do not depress the brake pedal or
open/close the doors while the battery is connected.

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing    See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions.

2. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Refer to the procedure up to Remove Driver Side Knee Airbag Assembly    See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service
and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Knee Airbag Assembly (for Driver Side)/Removal.

3. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly connector.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and brake pedal stroke sensor assembly.

NOTICE:
Do not drop the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly. If the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly has been dropped, replace the brake
pedal stroke sensor assembly with a new one.
