Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly    See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and

Repair/Installation.

NOTICE:
*

Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

*

Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

*

Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.

*

Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

5. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)   See: Steering and

7. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
