Traction Control Switch: Service and Repair
Removal
BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VSC OFF SWITCH: REMOVAL
NOTICE:
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or
any door courtesy switch is turned on. Therefore, when servicing the brake system components, do not depress the brake pedal or
open/ close the doors while the battery is connected.
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal
2. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Upper Instrument Panel/Removal
7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removal
8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument
Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Upper Instrument Panel/Removal
9. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Upper Instrument Panel/Removal
10. REMOVE VSC OFF SWITCH
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the VSC OFF switch.
