Water Pump: Testing and Inspection

2AZ-FXE COOLING: WATER PUMP: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

2. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

3. INSPECT WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Visually check the drain hole and air hole for coolant leakage.

(b) If leakage is found, replace the water pump assembly.

(c) Turn the pulley and check that the water pump bearing moves smoothly and does not make any noise.

If necessary, replace the water pump assembly.

4. INSTALL WATER PUMP PULLEY

5. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT
